With over twenty years of experience teaching from preschool through graduate level, I am comfortable working with students of all ages. Visiting schools feels like “going home” to me! From interactive read-alouds with younger children to exploring the writing process with older students, I thrive on connecting with young readers and writers. Educators credit my presentations as being informative, entertaining, and enlightening.

Interactive read-alouds
(Grades K-3) These sessions include pre-reading, while reading, and follow-up questions; lively participation and discussion.
What Does an Author Do?
(Grades 1-4+) I explain and demonstrate the writing process and involve students in discovery and understanding of various aspects of being a full-time author through a lively multi-media presentation.
One day—five day intensive writing workshops
(Grades 3-8) Students receive personalized feedback as they experience the writing process firsthand, from brainstorming to publishable piece.
